One can say "it's not my style", or "I don't care for Terry Gilliam", and that's fine. But to call this one of the "worst" is like saying that a Jimi Hendrix album is so, because you don't like his style of playing.

But Hendrix died while still being one of the most talented guitarist that ever played the instrument.

Gilliam hasn't shown any ability to make a relevant film in almost 20 years. I'd agree that Zero Theorem was easily one of the worst films of last year.

Not everyone was listening to Hendrix, or appreciated him, at thetime.

My point about Gilliam is that his films are outside the realm of popular taste, and need to be seen in that way, or ignored. I liked Zero Theorem.

ooooooh, "Matt's Movie Reviews"? you mean THE " Matt's Movie Reviews"??? as in the " Matt's Movie Reviews" blog that no one hase ever heard about?

i guess it must be true then. xD

this was not brilliant by gilliam measures, but it's not even one of the 2000 worst movies of 2014 and not even one the 200 worst high-budget movies. at worst it is in the bottom 10 gilliam movies list.

What a crappy thread! The first 20 minutes of this movie was An orgasm for all of my senses. Now, I will agree that the rest of the movie failed to keep up with all the tiny and fantastic details but yeah, no one care about Matt...

If you think TZT is in the top 10 worst movies of 2014 you haven't seen a lot of movies and you are just being pretentious.
