You haven't seen a bush that big probably because you're still young. You grew up in a time where all girls shave or wax completely bare, because it's what they are told they are supposed to do. I have 10-11 years older than you and trust me, when I was in my late teens/early 20's, some girls were still natural. Miss those days.

Im actually 44...was just making a joke...and yes have seen bush that big before....but Gaby was definitely a throwback to the 1970's

It wasn't real. You can't show long closeups like that without getting shafted at the ratings. The most common workaround is wearing a merkin. It usually looks hilarious but it worked well in this context because you were expecting it.

Not sure why a "junk wig" somehow makes it appropriate to viewers but there you go.

I'd like to point out that this is a small-budget Chilean film not probably intended for the common American audiences in the first place. I doubt that any Hollywood "rating systems" would be a concern for Chilean film makers. At least in most of the European countries full frontal non-sexual nudity would rate the film something like "not recommended for persons under 10/12 years old". And that is mostly because such films usually deal with "adult" themes as well such as turbulent personal relationships, substance abuse and other such drama.

Eh... Almost certain that was real. I know what a merkin is. That wasn't a merkin. They don't use merkins because it makes it ok to show, but because it fits the character. Why would showing pubic hair be more acceptable to the censors than nothing at all?

As shown on TV, The fairy was only shown from the shoulders up after she lost her clothes. Didn't seem to make any difference to the film.

Oh! Was that why they kept calling her the hairy fairy?
