I loved this movie! I am not a film critic... I am the average...

Regular everyday lover of movies. I try to watch at least 2-3 movies on the weekends.... whether at home, on-demand, or at the actual movie theater.

I like a good family drama that isn't too heavy or too silly. Edward Burns takes care of my movie "likes" every time.

I completely related.... my Father feigned his death shortly after my Mother left him ... SHE left HIM.. with 5 kids! I could completely relate to this movie.

As usual, Edward Burns.... keep making movies!

I am so with you....just finished watching this movie this morning. I found it on Netfliks when I searched for Christmas. Granted, I'm in an emotionally tender state right now, having just lost my spouse two months ago, but I found the whole story very compelling. It was predictable, but not in a "Hallmark movie" sort of way. I knew where it was heading, but I so enjoyed the journey.

I've watched this every holiday season and my appreciation for it keeps growing. It's actually become a top ten Christmas film for me this year, love it.
