$186,000 Gross so Far in the U.S. Release? WTF?

America. What seems to be the problem? Why are you not going to great films?

reply

What did you expect? Americans shun subtitled movies.

Probably because it's in a very limited number of theaters?

Yes. And limited marketing. Many Americans do enjoy subtitled/foregin films. Netflix has especially opened up a whole new world to many movieholics, film buffs, couch potatoes, weekend warriors, and seekers of evening entertainment. I'm amazed by some of the people that I wouldn't think would bother with a foregn film saying something like, "Dude, Amelie was freaking awesome!"

One of my newest favorite films, which is quickly gathering a cult following, is called The Secret in their Eyes (2009). AWESOME film. It just so happens to be a foreign film; you can watch it subbed or dubbed. Either way, don't miss it if you have the chance to see it.
