Why does Jody adopt a Catwoman-esque voice and purr for the intro?

I cracked up when I first heard it. She's a total Jekyl and Hyde psychopath - she has this really, super fake, syrupy sweet helium voice for when she wants to comes across as pleasant and nice, but then she switches it up mid-sentence when she's being mean and suddenly sounds like a rough, gravel-voiced trucker.

"Don't be so unkind Mary!"

"WHAT'RE YOU STOOPID, SUHWEET CHEEKS??"

reply

She is a grotesque individual. Coarse, boorish, unattractive women like her would naturally resent Mary's natural prettiness and sweet disposition. It's an aura and presence of femininity that Jody will never possess. She is outlandish and a buffoon.

I'm amazed she had men touch her because she's got a few kids. Do you think she plied them with alcohol first? Her son seems sweet, which totally freaks me out because he's so different from his mother and Mia.

Ugh, no way. Did you see the shirt he was wearing in epi 4 when he said goodbye to his mother? He was wearing a shirt with a pic of a girl in her panties posing sexily in softcore Maxim style like a douchey college bro. Around his mother. And young kid sister. Doesn't seem sweet and sensitive to me.
