RHOV needs to be FIXED before it gets CANCELLED!

--------> My Suggestions:

Christina needs to return! Christina was by far the standout housewife from Season 1. She attempted to be neutral in all the disagreements until Jodi left her no choice but to choose a side - and she chose Mary. Christina was the most down to earth of the housewives, and the most fun to watch!

Jodi simply must be fired from the show. She is a cancer that is destroying the show. Mia as a "friend" needs to go as well. The Clamans SUCK!

Amanda should also be replaced. She is a mini-Jodi, although I do think without Jodi on the show anymore that Amanda could be more tolerable.

From my understanding, Vancouver has a strong Asian presence. Why not either bring back Reiko (and feature her lesbian relationship with her girlfriend) or bring on a new Asian housewife. (and although Russia is predominately an Asian country, I don't consider Ioulia an Asian housewive. She is Eurasian maybe :p haha)

Ronnie needs to go to Rehab (the addiction specialist kind not the *beep* wine kind) and get on meds for her mental illness

--------> What are your suggestions for fixing the show?

The things that got me watching the show was the fact that there was so much eye candy-- the expensive cars, the clothes, shoes, beautiful scenery, vacation spots, lavish parties, etc. I found several cast members very interesting (Christina, Reiko, Jody, and Kevin) and although I didn't care too much for Mary & Ronnie, I wanted to understand their dynamic. Also, the first season actually had a plot going, where one by one each woman discovers how evil Jodi can be and eventually everyone turns against her. We also got a two part reunion (even though it wasn't the best and it desperately needed a better host).

Now second season rolls along with several elements from the first season missing. First, three regular women replaced two strong fan favorites, and the viewers weren't given enough time to bond with any of them. The second season chose to focus on a lot of bickering between the cast that often didn't make sense. The glamour/wealthy aspect of the show was hardly visible (the parties were smaller, the trips were mundane, and a lot of basic lunch and dinner scenes). The editing was so bad this season that I often found myself questioning why things were happening. In general this season didn't seem to have a storyline. The finale ended abruptly, and there was no reunion at all? The only good thing about this season was the lack of products these women were trying to force onto the viewers.

With that said, here are the changes I would like to see (in no particular order):

1. The show needs better editing. When the women have conversations or argue among one another, it needs to make sense. When the show is being edited, make sure the edits don't affect the storyline. Also, don't ignore the projects that the cast worked on in previous season (ie- briefly mention what happened to Ronnie's wine, Mary's tequila, Mary's scarf business, Jody's cookbook, Mia's clothing line, etc). Those projects may have failed, but still I think they should have been mentioned for closure.

2. Bring back the glam factor. I want to see beautiful vacation spots, expensive fashions, lavish parties, etc... If none of the housewives can afford to do any of these things (and I'm sure some can't), then either help them out by gaining more sponsors or make some replacements with the cast.

3. There really should be no more than 5 housewives, especially with 10 episodes. The more housewives that are on the show means less time will be allotted to the women's personal lives and viewers won't be able to get to know the women better. It's difficult to develop feelings towards some of these women when there's hardly any footage of them around their families or doing normal things like work, hobbies, etc.

4. A reunion episode is always needed, with a good host that will ask tough questions and keep the ladies on track.

As for the cast:
I would LOVE for Christina (and Kevin) to come back and I wouldn't mind seeing Reiko either.

This won't be popular but I believe the show needs Jodi or at least someone like her. She's a great villain and she genuinely isn't afraid to make a fool of herself. She's able to get a reaction from fans and that's a good thing. And I'd like to see more of Mia because she is the best sidekick for Jodi.

Amanda tries too hard to create controversy which turned me off so I wouldn't mind if she left.

Ioulia, meh... she didn't make much of an impact on me so it doesn't matter if she stays or leaves.

I like Robin's personality and wouldn't mind if she stayed, however she needs to be more than Mary's sidekick. Show more of Robin's life and aspirations.

Ronnie and Mary are a pair (separately they have nothing I care about). If they both stay then there should be more focus on their rocky friendship. What happened between them to get them (especially Ronnie) to question their friendship? Why does Ronnie feel the need to call Mary out when Mary bends the truth? Why did Ronnie think Mary should keep her from drinking? Why does Ronnie's husband think Mary isn't a friend? Why did they stop speaking for 5 years?

And since this show is called "Real Housewives of Vancouver", there should be more Canadian-born women featured than any other group.

I feel like if Jody and Mia were gone, then Ronnie would be the one to step up and be the "villain" of the housewives. She was almost as bad as Jodi in the first season, and this season she was obviously too drugged/drunk to function normally so I don't know what is going on with her.

I think it would be difficult for Ronnie to take the villain role since she can't handle a lot of stress. From what I understand Ronnie has anxiety attacks and takes medication (ativan) for it. It might be the reason why she seems heavily medicated on the show most of the time.

reply

Even on Ativan, Ronnie has no problems with getting into fights with the other housewives. She only pulls the "I can't handle the stress" crap when she is clearly in the wrong and don't know what to say to turn it around on the other person.

Sounds like another reason why Ronnie wouldn't make a good villain.

It's already been cancelled.
