My take on the ending.

I think he was stabbed and killed right there. And then the president of the company made Jim say what he said(as evidenced by his wife's attitude) to suspicion wouldnt be raised. I wouldnt be surprised if Jim or his family ever sees outside again, but regardless, the guy at the beginning just happened to disappear. That was a clue, and you cannot discredit the van following them. It would seem like a lot of effort for a trick.

Also Marc(k?)Tucker said something about the group wanting to release a little information, which they would have done with that video, and interview, without actually giving themselves up.

I agree with you. I also like your take on the tucker mention about letting out a little bit of info. Solid insight.

Didn't think there was any ambiguity in the ending, Mark Tucker talks openly about how they release a warning to others. Even the final line admitting the conspiracy is a 'hidden in plain view' classic.

Is this it?

I believe he was killed there also.

At the end when Jim was asked 'just for the record' where he thought Aaron went, he said "well I guess he ended up in the same place Terrance did, didn't he". He had a tear in his eye when he said it.

Why would he phrase it like that?
It seems to me he knew what had happened and that he had no choice but to go along with the cover up, less the same thing happened to him and/or his family.

its bizarre how many people on this board ignore the very obvious painting of what happened

you SEE Aaron get stabbed on the ground. Its shown. Then a blurred out editor is shown clearly deleting/changing that scene later on since they're going to release the documentary

The powerful global group/cult is mentioned of wanting to flaunt their power at times and its fairly obvious that they in a way WANT people to sort of suspect that those that go 'missing' are quite possibly dead. they're not truly hiding it

also at the end, again, Jim states that Aaron is likely wherever Terrance is. and I think its safe to say if Aaron is dead Terrance is too (and vice versa)

anyone who genuinely believes that this film was trying to portray a powerful cult group as just doing a big ploy with that much effort to simply 'scare' people who investigate them is dull in the head. They really are going through the motions of a ritual and really do feel the need to kill someone- who more perfect than someone who is trying to expose them?
it shows their power and the fact that they know that raised flags won't stop them

also releasing the documentary (especially a vaguely suspiciously edited one) just creates a circular effect where more conspiracy theorists seek out knowledge to uproot them, get tricked into going to one of their meetings, and also 'disappear'

she fell through a hole, and was never seen again
