It's a damn shame

I wasn't sure about it at first, had a hard time getting past the animation and the villains I didn't recognise but I was intrigued and I really liked it. Katana was a nice addition and loved Gordons journey from trying to arrest BM to slowly realising he is necessary. They did a nice job sprinkling in the more known villains but it's a damn shame we don't get season 2 where Two-Face is revealed, Penguin shows up (the hints were there), Silver Monkey returns and Anarky makes his next move

Beware The Batman is a great show, it was nominated for an Emmy Award, great writing, story and the voice acting brilliant, Anthony Ruivivar did an awesome job as Batman and Bruce Wayne, and surprisingly Thomas Wayne

Still doesn't explain why the networks cancelled the show.  great writing my ass when they screwed up Dent. Frankly they should have just revealed Dent's scarred face if they knew they were gonna get cancelled, not save it for season 2.

I thought Silver Monkey died. It was implied when Lady Shiva tossed his mask at Alfred and Katana while holding the Soultaker Sword.

I think so too.

I liked it right from the beginning. I like most chars but Anarky and the Assassin ppl.
They dragged the show down for me. Glad Two Face didn't make his appearance.
So up to the middle it was a very entertaining show which went worse for me then because of mentioned elements.

However I'm glad there wasn't Joker.

Truth to be told, I like Batman but not his overly freakish opponents, worse the ones that aren't human possible.
A talking frog my arse, though those two were funny.
Croc was not.
A sword that steals souls, ridiculous and what for?

I wish there was a Batman show without such ridiculous elements. More realistic and much less fantasy.

Care to explain? was it because of the way they turned Harvey Dent into a jerk with no psychological problems before he becomes two-face? And for the record i had argued to death with another user named easy_friend-1 about it.

Seen enough of him in the past. Plus he's even uglier than the Joker.I may not like Anarky in this story but at least he was something fresh.

There wasn't much explained about him in the first place. Whether he had problems or not. Just some random character thrown in. Like most.He was obsessed, that already counts as a problem. If that was just a strategy or something psychological, who knows. But seeing how quickly he changed he probably had already something within him before. He didn’t even see his face yet. It ended before that was fully explored.Harvey Dent's shallow character portrait was only one of many things one better does not think too much about. The end itself was also way too convenient.Create such a 2 eps season final story and then within 10 seconds they solve it with a chemical, they thought up 5 secs before, to make him forget everything.lolwhat the... ---Lincoln Lee: I lost a partner.Peter Bishop: I lost a universe!

Thank you for summing it up. I too felt that Dent was poorly handled in this show cause this is all we see of Beware the Batman’s Two-Face, who doesn’t flip a coin, doesn’t have a mentality obsession with the number two, and wasn’t ever a good person before the scarring. It's as if he was a jerk from the get go because there was nothing about him that makes him likable and nothing to connect us to that character. After the scarring, he starts speaking of himself as “we”–even before seeing that he has two faces behind that stupid bandages, mind you–despite the fact that he displays no discernible difference in personality from his pre-scarring self. He's become a character who could literally be anyone else with no incentive to actually BE Harvey Dent, we don't even know why he dislikes/hates Batman with such fervency. Yep, I can safely say that this is the worst take on Harvey Dent ever since Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever.

To be quite honest i would like to see Two-Face rob stuff during the day to give to charity because Two-Face is suppose to be not really the two evils. I mean Bruce/Batman said he fears Two-Face more then any of his foes and it's something the writers don't seem to acknowledge threw out the years. Now that would be something new that has NEVER been shown on TV for Batman. And the proper respect Two-Face deserves.

Create such a 2 eps season final story and then within 10 seconds they solve it with a chemical, they thought up 5 secs before, to make him forget everything.

I think it was due to the fact that the show was being cancelled which explains that crappy ending as you described. Not the best way to go out with a bang.

I may not like Anarky in this story but at least he was something fresh.

I think Anarky in Arkham Origins was better then this one.

Then you're much better off watching police dramas or even maybe Daredevil. Batman's world has featured fantastical characters since its very inception, when he fought monsters, vampires, and werewolves as much as mobsters and crooks.

I do... did watch crime stuff. CSI Vegas being my favourite.
Unfortunately, currently there aren't any crime shows that are interesting to me.
Bones is the last relic of the old shows that's not yet cancelled.

It's not about a police force. It's about crime investigation.

About Batman, I've watched and loved the Adam West show as child. Later the animated series.
While it was all awesome as child and teenager it wasn't much anymore as adult.
I still enjoy some episodes nonetheless, but as said, I wish one would dare to take a new step. Some other than Nolan.

Doesn't matter.
It's a fiction by humans.
Can be changed any time. If there would be a will to do.
Not that I remember much of the old show with Adam West... but I think the opponents were all humans. Common humans.

I agree but it depends on the writer and how the plot revolves around Batman. Cartoon world is the place where Batman Takes on Non-humans like ClayFace, Killer Croc and so on because it's cheaper that way. I'm just glad Killer Croc is gonna be on that Suicide Squad Movie for the 1st time beyond the cartoons.
