Surprisingly Sweet Movie

I will admit I'm a sucker for sappy Christmas movies, so I'll watch just about anything this time of year. The premise was a little tired, but I thought using the March sisters was a great way to tie old with new. And as far as sappy Christmas movies go, I thought the script and acting were great! I'm glad I found this one!

I just saw it and I kinda liked it. There are so many adaptations of 'Little Women' and I've enjoyed most of them. I like that it's present day.

I thought the actresses were believable as sisters. The only part I thought was iffy was them working on the house. One minute they're all hard at work tearing up floors & boards. Next they're getting on with other stuff then the house suddenly looks holiday beautiful. When did they finish and how? I thought they needed money?

I think my enjoyment really came from it being Christmas. It's a welcome change to watch the Lifetime channels and the content not be one murder or abuse story after another.

I am guessing John and Teddy finished the house, working for free. I like this modern update. If they have to update it, I think this is a good way to do it.
