Unsettling

This movie kind of got under my skin. I thought this movie was going to be about her "doing something stupid" as Chiara put it, but I think it was really about the desire to be desirable, period. When she's drunk at the party it feels like she's going to be taken advantage of, but she sort of takes advantage of Sammi instead. I thought the last scene at Sammi's house was interesting because although he was such a jerk/molester to this little girl his need to put her down for not approving him in front of his friends basically showed that he had some of the same needs and body loathing that she did, despite all the male posturing in the movie up to that point.
