Not a huge fan of the original but if you're going to remake it, you need a better cast. Queen Latifah as M'Lynn? Really?

OK! That's what I just wrote in the other thread about Queen Latifah being cast as M'Lynn. I mean, WTF?!

Queen Latifah would've been better as Truvy.

That may be an opinion carried over from Beauty Shop though. Another GREAT movie.

She is the producer, I guess she can have whatever role she wanted! I love her though.

The trailer reminded me of Beauty Shop. I was beginning to wonder if this was a sequel and not a remake.
