What is it with new, yearly junk Christmas movies?

Here is ANOTHER one. Movies like this play on obscure cable channels or Hallmark. And they are all the same.

Families going though "bad times" and then realizing "what's really important".

And technically, they are all the same too, like this one. Not very good sound, washed out, looks like it was shot on *beep* video. Actors that seem vaguely familiar. Plodding stories. Depressing content.

Where does this swill come from? I see a dozen new ones a year. Same pablum, same inept production values.
