Sounds like a darker Carrie...
come on, you know it does a little
I kick ass for the lord!!
Oh yes
shareMore like a more idiotic Carrie
shareNo denying it, minus the religious overtones.
I like that we were more in the dark as to what was going on in the opening third of this film. I also thought the pacing was really good, didn't check the iPhone once during the show.

Carrie, possibly, but also got a definite "Orphan" groove to this also. Niamh and Esther definitely had a few things in common. On the other hand, at least Esther was reasonably sane so to speak.
shareAwesome!!! Someone else who also saw Orphan, great movie btw. Insanity is often defined as doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results; according to this, Esther is definitely more insane than Neve. Even though the motives behind Neve's actions are debatable, I think she is still a bit more relatable to Esther cause I don't know how we're supposed to relate to someone who thinks pretending to be a child will make a male authority figure fall head-over-heels in love with them.
shareYes, parallels to Carrie are quite obvious. It also reminded me of several other movies that feature evil-children: The Bad Seed, Village of the Damned, The Children, Orphan.
