Thanks for watching!

There have been a lot of really positive comments here and I just wanted to thank you guys for checking it out and giving it a chance. If you didn't like it, I'm still grateful to you for trying it out. The show was designed as a pilot for a series, and we were trying to sink the pylons for several different story engines right up front. I think a lot of the questions people had we planned to address if the pilot had been picked up to series, but alas -- fate was against us.

If you didn't get a chance to see the show and still want to, it will be available on iTunes starting Monday 9/29.

Thanks again for tuning in!

All the best

Say it ain't so! I enjoyed what was obviously a pilot for a series, then came here when I heard it was actually a "TV Movie". Such a shame! I really did want to find out what the answers were to the different plot points raised, and after the closing scene was extremely disappointed to find out that these would not be forthcoming.

SciFi is notoriously fickle when it comes to supporting shows while they are actually still in production and rarely seem to see their value until after the fact. I hope, considering that you've said they haven't picked this up, that this will be one of those occasions. If so, maybe we'll be treated to a wrap-up movie at the very least. I mean, seriously, to just leave it where it is? I don't mind campy "cult-classic-to-be"s, but I hate wasting my time. A movie without an ending, that stops at what is obviously the end of its introduction, could easily be seen as a waste of time.

I am so tired of anything original being dumped on by the 900th iteration of some "real" show about "housewives". Please make sure that doesn't happen. Give us a part two so that we actually have something real to watch. Thanks for your efforts!

Having read The Lotus Caves, and also being a huge Bryan Fuller fan, I have to say I was completely disappointed with High Moon. I understand what you were trying to do, but the story needed to be more serious, which Fuller has proved he can do with Hannibal. However, this seemed more like Pushing Daisies Flies to the Moon. Those puns might have been hilarious coming out of the mouth of Emerson Cod, but were totally cringe-worthy coming from an Air Force General. Ninja warriors (why Indian instead of Japanese?), a gay cyborg, mechanical dinosaurs and "human" cephalopods? What were you guys smoking?

reply

Are you serious? I think Highmoon is something serious and could happen, while Hannibal is not serious and will never happen.

What have you been smoking?

This was a highly entertaining, and creative movie. I was thoroughly pleased. Please ignore the pompous geek comments. These same people will be complaining later about the next Pirahasaur vs. Sharkaconda, yet also turn up their nose when something different is offered. I DVRed this almost at random. I don't remember seeing any advertisements and of course SyFy is to blame. My hats off to you.

This was lots of fun and I'm disappointed that SyFy didn't pick it up. I would have watched this series. I have to replace my DVR so I watched it for the last time tonight.
