Cinematography

Anyone else appreciate the cinematography? the close ups in the more emotionally charged scenes particular in the second episode are a great element to the viewing experience.

"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not".

I'm no expert, but how shall I put this... I loved the darkness.
...although as an atheist, you could spot the obvious undertones of religious teachings all over it. It was like a parable or something.

Anyway going back to the darkness, yes... Both the storyline, but especially in the cinematography: it reeked of seediness all through!

Like the latest UK Wallander (series 3), I bet they spent some time in the editing/compositing room getting things just right in feel.

More "darkness" please commissioning TV execs! (preferably without doing "Twilight"-esque crap stories, too — gritty real world is so much more interesting for adult audiences).

It was very pretty but in the end I found the excessive use of (faked) depth of field annoying and it prevented me from getting enveloped by the plot.
