Went looking for what else Atom Egoyan has done and found Chloe. I remembered how I anticipated a wild twist ending to Chloe and got nothing, same as in The Captive. Something about this guy's style sets me up for a major surprise, but I'm left with a straightforward resolution, making me feel like the twist is that there is no twist. Anybody else get this feeling?

What was the point of it all?
The whole set up for the abuse had no real feeling and I felt very little for the characters besides Reynolds...probably a testament to his acting ability.
I ask again...what was the point of it all? To say that kids are abused and that technology is the new threat? Yeah...we know!
I agree what was the point? To say that there are really intelligent pedophile rings with strong encryption software that the police can not break? And... that even though they KNOW it is a pedophile ring lets just harass the poor dad while he's grieving the loss of his child?
This movie just made me angry!
