Glaring mistake

When Ray looks at the sign in front of his & Drexel's birthplace, it says "Birthplace of Drexel Hemsley, Feb. 12, 1936." Later, when he looks at his "grave", it says Dexter Hemsley, born Oct. 5, 1935. What? Identical twins born 4 mos. apart? Someone screwed up big time!

There's an even bigger mistake because it says he lived for one day! (Oct 6 1935 to Oct 7 1935 or whatever)Huge mistake! Oh well. Terrible movie anyway

The graves of Dexter and Drexel were definitely different (one February and one October, in different years). I came here hoping someone had an explanation for that. But, having only one day on Dexter's was not a mistake at all. They buried the shoebox saying he died after a day. This happened in the beginning, was referenced in the letter flashbacky scene, and then by the lady in Drexel's original house.

There are more mistakes than I've EVER seen in a movie. The guy is on a delivery run in 1956, listening to rock music on a small transistor radio. I don't remember seeing these until at least 1961. Also, near the end he drives up to his elderly adopted father in his motorcycle, and the cycle sounds like a v-twin Harley, though it's actually a Triumph twin.

Not completely unrealistic as transistor radios were around in the mid-50's. But it would be unlikely Ryan would own one considering the price. it wasn't until the 60's when they were mass-produced by the Japanese and sold on the cheap.

How common was it for a white and black nurse to work side by side in the south in the late 50s?
