I loved this movie (SPOILERS covered)

I like a lot of movies about musicians, real or fictional. I really liked this movie. I only wished they would have shown Drexel's personal growth too and not just his celebrity identity though I do realize that it's really Ryan's story and Drexel is seen from his view point. I would have loved it if the brothers had actually met and got to know each other. They both seemed like they were missing their other half. It doesn't make sense to me that the biological parents didn't want the boys to know about the adoption until the parents had passed away. Maybe they thought it would be too painful or that the boys would be hateful about it. The deaths in this movie were very well portrayed and my eyes didn't stay dry.

I came to this board looking for other people who liked the movie and had interesting things to say about. I was disappointed that I only found hateful messages from people who didn't really watch it or didn't understand it. It's not supposed to be an Elvis knock off story. Drexel is not supposed to be Elvis. Elvis exists as himself in this movie's universe. He even gets referenced, and I'm pretty sure other rock bands of the era were also mentioned in passing a few times. This is a fictional story about musical twins separated at birth. The movie follows a lot of the good rules of movie making but also manages to stay fresh and not too glossed over. It has some flaws like all good things do. I don't like it when movies are too perfectly done. Some edge is always good, be it intentional or not. It's a good story and I was looking forward to seeing it ever since I first happened by this IMDB page while it was still in pre-production. I don't regret getting hyped about it and I don't let myself get hyped about a lot of things. :)

Finally, since it was my love for Seth Green that brought this movie to my attention, I must say he was great in this movie :D I wonder if he really could drum like that or if it was just pretend :D

Haters gonna hate. I'll give it nine stars.
