Nothing about this was well done or even just professional.
How this movie (using the term loosely here) got such high ratings from both the critics and the viewers is beyond me. It was a colossal waste of time.
I have a horror group on FB that I initially thought I might recommend this to, but this is extremely embarrassing!
Art house film with a cool soundtrack, some nice B&W images here and there, but that’s about it. I got a loose “Lost Highway” vibe from it. For slow-paced artsy vampire films, I prefer the Nosferatu remake in the 70’s. Or either versions of Let the Right One iIn.
On a random note, i just saw Jan Svankmajer’s “Alice” last night. If you want to see a somewhat horrific, creepy version of Alice in Wonderland, this is a great film. It’s a loose adaptation but far better captures the darkness of Wonderland than any other film versions. Quite unique, really.

It’s right there, 1988, on your link. You can watch it on youtube. No subtitles, but you don’t really need them. There is only 1 child who does all the sparse narration, but if you read the novel, it’s easy enough to follow.
Filled with skeleton imagery, death symbolism, creepy dollwork, quite a film.
Even in 1988 there were a few different movies he directed.
I mean, I found it, but this is a weird way of communicating. Nor am I inclined to watch a non-English-language movie without translation.
In fact, you kinda should have led with that.
