Why such a low IMDB score???

shareThematically, I didn't find the film all that original. These ideas have been explored in other films before. It was pretty well done here, but it was nothing earth-shaking.
The performances were very good, including very haunting work by the actor playing Sushenya (sp?). The film was slow to a fault, though. IMO, the running time could have been reduced by 30 minutes with no loss in effect.
I enjoyed the cinematography, the pacing, and the characters.

Ignoring the shallow comments of Zaltan-Jose ... I am happy to agree with you ... especially about the cinematography.
As for the person who felt the film was pointless ... I doubt they would feel that way if they were from Belarus. Sadly there are not enough films that tell the tragic WW2 story of Belarus & Ukraine & The Baltic States and in as much I am glad this film was done.
