can't wait to see this

Just ordered this from RussianDVD store on Ebay for about $15.00 delivered. Knowing full well that WWII was mostly fought and won on the EasternFront (4 out of every 5 German soldiers were killed on this Front) I relish every morsel of detail to be found. Appears to be a multi-national collaborative production so am hoping any heavy handed Russian influence has been balanced and a mere human tale is told...will update post viewing.

Americans are pretty clueless about the experiences of the Belorussians and Ukrainians and Baltic States during WW2 and in turn films about these experiences have great value. Other films that come to mind are ...

1. Defiance
2. Fortress of War
3. Come and See

Surely there are others

We await your impressions.

Those are all very good movies, especially Come and See. Check these out too, I think you may enjoy them. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075404/ AND http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0899242/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 AND http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1233199/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 AND http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067625/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 AND http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0403579/. I collect as much footage on the Eastern Front as possible but I have a ton more of both docs and films if you're interested in other titles. The demographics on this Front were staggering compared to the Western Front.
