TEDTalks: Artistry and Illusion: 'Alison Jackson Looks at Celebrity'

This is the first TEDtalks that I was bored during.

I think it's partially because I am not from the UK, and most of her photos depict celebrities of the UK. By the time she got to international celebs, I just didn't care much. Really, I think her art speaks better to those who know more about celebs than me. I think it's for and also in a way makes fun of her audience.

It doesn't offend me or anything, as it appears as merely satire of those I don't care much about. Yes, some of them to me could almost be the real thing, but even if it was, so what? These people's daily lives shouldn't be interesting to anyone. At least not interesting enough to be talked about as they are in gossip columns or videoed in reality shows. I could care less if someone who I don't know is having an affair or they wear ridiculous underwear, or they are on a boat with models in their spare time. It's irrelevant. So her art to me is also irrelevant.
