Warning to animal lovers
Loved the quirky humor, story, and characters but all that ended when the pet is killed. Poor choice by filmmaker to make a point or probably a joke. By end of movie no one was laughing. And no one applauded.
shareI don't think the rabbit being killed was meant to be literal and cruel. Killing the rabbit is symbolism of the end of her innocence. The point is that she was the one deciding when to lose her virginity. It happened while she was staring at the German Kid. Not sure if it is connected, but isn't there a song lyric about "the rabbit done died"? I think it was an Aerosmith song. Sweet Emotion?
