Poor Gianna!!!

I really feel sorry for that girl for having such a beast for a mother!!! I really like her and though she is not the best dancer she already knows how to entertain an audience. At 13 still has a couple of more years to really perfect what she is lacking in technique. Unfortunately that screeching baboon mother of hers is really going to stand in her way. I really hope I’m wrong though and Cindy is just acting this way for the show.

Ah, it's a Jersey thing. Actually, if not for Cindy, Gianna might not be where she is. From something Cindy said, she seemed to be suggesting that Gianna's dance lessons were a bone of contention in her marriage.
She said Gianna's dancing was something she had sacrificed her marriage for - something like that. Maybe true, maybe not.

It doesn't surprise me that Cindy would admit her marriage was suffering due to dance. In the dance community, married couples getting divorced because of the amount of time and money spent on dance isn't completely shocking. I mean, it's not just something Lifetime made up.

For example, one of my former dance teachers got dumped by her husband in early 2011 simply because he didn't like her going out of town almost every weekend just to judge dance competitions.

Really, captains_log? I had no idea it impacted marriages to that extent. I guess as the kids move up in class, it requires an ever-increasing amount of time and expense. It never occurred to me. I guess some of them are like elite athletes.
