So why...

Spoilers!!!

OK. So why did Adam try to get into the bathroom while joy was in there? Its understandable if he was a synthetic, but we discovered in the end that he was human. So what, is he just a simple human perve ? And What was the purpose of inseminating Joy at the end?

Also, I just finished this movie and am left with a lot of questions... specifically, why did we see the relationship between Adam and David as it it really wasn't? (Does that question even make sense?) Yes I know it was supposed to be a twist with the reversalot of synthetic and human/creator... but whenever Joy wasn't around, the two characters still remained the same, pretending to be someone they aren't with their conversations and behavior. You know what I mean? It just feels like a messy attempt at a twist to draw in us viewers. Maybe I'm wrong.. maybe I missed something. All questions aside, I did enjoy this film and the intellectual sciency dialogue. I'm just annoyed that Im left with these questions.

Because "Adam" didn't know that he wasn't human. "Adam" thought that he was human, and in order to believe that fully, all the evidence has to fit. My question is , does he process waste, ie use the bathroom, and if not, how does he not self destruct in Star Trek logic failure?

He wasn't being a perv, I honestly think he didn't know she was in there. He was trying to get in to have something to fill David's implants with to keep the illusion going. (If you catch my drift)

The overall story consisted of two experiments, to convince Joy (an intelligent roboticist) that David was a real man and to see if David's could develop personality changes based on interactions with outside humans.

The only way to do that was through a warped type of blind study for both experiments. Programing David to believe he was Adam was beneficial for both studies.
