Why do they keep naming it Far Cry

It is nothing like the 1st one. The 1st one's reef look looked better than this. That was computer vs PS3 for me, so might be why, but Dead Island's island was way better. It had sections, the resort, the town, the jungle, the prison, it had these sections, this game had none like that. The story was pretty bad, not that the 1st one was anything better, but it was at least there, and had progress and as annoying as the characters' voices were, it had some characters, while Vaas was a great character and the the intro to the game was excellent, that's about it. It was a basic repeat of Far Cry 2 with the exceptions of having more fast forward spots and taking out outposts so that enemies don't respawn endless amounts of times.

The game was supposed to show how Jason transforms, in the beginning of the game he kills someone and looks at his hands like what has he just done, yet then just after that he gets handed a pistol, he doesn't learn how to use it or anything he just goes and shoots people and then it's fine, this is why i cant handle these open world games with the side quests, because the side quests ruin the main quests, for one, it's boring, it's usually pointless and easy, it doesn't add anything to the game, it's just a way of getting money, experience and exploring..it doesn't add to story, but I know I'm in the minority here, I know most people would sacrifice a story single player if it means they can have multi player or open world so that they can level up. This game I had the upgrades early in the game, I had all the good guns, I finished outposts and towers early on, so what was the point of the rest of the game... for what. They should then pull final fantasy and have very strong enemies which makes it worth it, but otherwise it's just pointless to keep leveling. I want story games, character driven games, this game had excellent voice actors, but that's it, story was just bad... that boat they were repairing had no way of exiting the cave for example. You take over the island's outposts and set up towers and nothing happens, hence again, side questions dont match with main story quests. So next time Ubisoft, name it something else, because it is not Far Cry. That game was way better than these last two.

A game should have villages and you can interact with the villagers, Uncharted 2 was such a great game because when you walked into towns or villages, people around you reacted to your presence, that game had story, character development and interesting characters, sadly the 3rd one pulled in the big multi player and sucked story wise. I'm sure the next one will start with open world crap too. Anyways off topic...
The worst part of the game was the boss fights.. okay so Vaas stabs you, you fall down, and then you are in a dream, and you magically kills him, same with Hoyt... WTF.

The ending made NO SENSE whatsoever... all of a sudden Citra becomes crazy and wants you to stay and kill your friends... even though you already decided to stay... so WTF... if they helped the friends get off the island, then Jason would've stayed behind... so stupid, typical crap you find in games nowadays, just no logic in the storyline.

I'm having an effing great time playing the game.
I postponed the mission with Sam to kill Hoyt because I want to take more outposts and find more relics, lost letters and memory cards to unlock more weapons and syringes.

Farcy is the idea: "a far cry from here". It isn't about linking stories, but the concept.

And no, Jason decided to stay because he thought his little brother was dead too and he kind of snapped and wanted to kill Hoyt. When he discovered his brother alive, you get to make the choice to stay or leave as it's affected his decision.

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, Darling!
