Where does this game take place?

Is it New Ginea?

It takes place on the fictitious Rook Islands. It's never really pinned down where they're supposed to be located. Wherever rich morons can afford to skydive I guess.

The general environmental clues suggest that the Rook Islands are between Australia and Asia. There are tens of thousands of islands in that area, and it's a happy hunting ground for pirates and smugglers.
