I'm not used to good sense here on IMDB, but this might be the most NONsensical rating I've seen yet. This movie was hilarious, well-acted and well-directed with absolutely on-point parody. And it currently sits at 4.8?? I feel like I'm in the wrong universe sometimes.
Best comedy I've seen in some time, especially given the budget. Lennon, Garant, Corddry, and especially Key were sparkling. Highly recommended to anyone on the fence about seeing it!
It's not a good movie by any measure, but it is stupid fun.
I equate it with a lot of Broken Lizard's stuff: low budget, crass, meandering and fun.

Broken Lizard is a good comparison. Anybody who thought Corddry was funny in this should see his great role in Lower Learning: now _there's_ a bizarrely low rating.

Ill be honest I was very tired when we started the movie and almost fell asleep towards the end so I may rewatch it at a later date..but I don't have high hopes of my opinion changing much.
Not nearly as good as Repossessed, but had it's ok moments. Rating is understandable, IMO.

shareI saw this because I like the actors and writer/directors. I expected it to be interesting and funny, at the very least - perhaps not brilliant and amazing, but certainly worthwhile and enjoyable.
It was astonishingly disappointing. Unbelievably unfunny. A horrible failure in all aspects of entertainment. Sometimes I see movies I don't like but can understand why others do - not in this case. It has no positive qualities whatsoever. It's simply awful, awful, awful.
So I gave it a 1. I've given 2's & 3's to movies I couldn't force myself to sit through in their entirety, but watched this all the way to the end without once experiencing anything even close to decent filmmaking.
I must now watch something I know to be great just to rinse this stinkfest from my consciousness. If you like it, you're welcome to it.
