Reminded me of "A walk to Remember"

Same concept:
Innocent teenage girl and "bad boy" (but with a good heart) falls in love. Overprotective dad tries to stop this to protect his "girl": Boy think he's not good enough for the girl. Tries to be a better person. At least Jade had a better clothing style than the head character in A walk to Remember wearing the same ugly sweater through out the whole movie.
