Favorite segment? (Including The Scout)

I'm going to have to go with the wraparound segments. Penny, Ned, and Wolfboy were so entertaining.

But however The Slaughterhouse is my favorite.

The Slaughter House was my favorite segment. Loved the funky 70's vibe of it along with the excellent performances by reliable genre veterans Sid Haig and Jeffrey Combs.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

I liked The Slaughter House segment best as well, the way it was presented as a homage in reverse to some of the great horror flicks from years ago was really cool.
It was a refreshing concept to say the least and I always enjoy Sid Haig's appearances even though his screen time has been very limited in his recent film's.

My favorite was the wraparound segments as well, next best would be that vampire story. I wasn't a big fan of the Slaughter House segment, just because of how much was lifted from Texas Chainsaw Massacre/House of 1000 Corpses(especially House of 1k Corpses), although it wasn't horrible or anything, just not original. I wasn't a fan of the bad CGI blood in that part, either. It would have been better if they used practical effects IMO.

Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. Those wraparound parts have a lot of style with the blue/green/red lighting and costumes.

The wrap-around segments were wretched. I dis-liked them almost 100% probably only 90% but I feel a need to hyperbolize. Absolutely did not like this film. I usually like this kind of thing, but the guy who wrote the ridiculously long review of the film (albeit ridiculously well-written) I agree with very much. This movie was just not enjoyable in any fashion.

My favorite scene was the House of 1,000 Corpses/Texas Chainsaw Massacre one, but it's like a Catch 22. At the beginning, when I saw Sid haig as a gas station attendant, I was like, Oh come on. However, I let it slide because Sid Haig is the *beep* BOMB. But when the big guy showed up to tow them back, I INSTANTLY was reminded of HOUSE, and then when Ruth/"Candy" debuted, I was like BARF. The rest (until the twist ATTN: SPOILER) was complete *beep* *beep* That's what it was. But then there was the twist, which actually surprised me. But, the acting was super lame (even for horror film standards) as well was the direction/writing (very much sub-subpar). I could let them get away with crappy acting, but the fact that it was so obvious that the directing/writing dept. was so self righteous, I cannot, in good faith, give this movie a positive review.

This movie sucked balls. Sorry if your feelings got hurt. Not my intention.
