Did Ayushmann Really Deserve Best Debutante?

Okay, so I love his song 'Paani Da Rang' and yes I acknowledge the fact that it is not every day that we get an actor who sings and writes his own songs. But from an acting point of view, did Ayushmann really deserve all those awards he won? To be honest, I liked Arjun Kapoor more in 'Ishaqzaade', because right in his first film, he decided to do something unique and tried really hard. Even Varun Dhawan was pretty good, though he was sidelined by Siddharth.
I don't know why but Ayushmann, the actor, did not quite wow me. Well, it's just me and I would like to know your opinion guys....
