"Autómata" or "The Machine"? Which one did...
a better job in telling us a story about some Asimov's concerns, Frankenstein Complex, frontiers in AI, The Myth of Sisyphus etc? By the way, has anyone heard about "Uncanny Valley" hypothesis?

shareAutómata. By far. And in my opinion it also defeates Ex Machina in this regard.
Uncanny Valley means in short: human-like, but jùst off so it turns from recognizable into 'creepy'.
I enjoyed all 3, The Machine, Automata and Ex machina.
If I had to choose a favorite it would probably be The Machine, it is one that I can rewatch and still enjoy. Ex Machina is great, but I don't see myself wanting to see it again, a lot is lost once you know how it ends. Automata was enjoyable and I will probably watch again, however the ending seemed a bit silly to me. Not terrible, just a little off to my taste.
