Loved the movie but have questions

1. What is a turing test?
2. Did the machine have any remnants of Ava?
3. The AI Mary.... this is supposed to be a complete and separate entity than the real Mary? Does it have Mary's memories?
4. What was the Quantum program?
5. How did they incorporate av.'s technology and Vincents?
6. why did Suri burn that guy alive?

And it bothered me that they show the vets talk to each other in their own language but they don't share with the audience what they are saying.

I look forward to the SyFy series, but will probably only watch it if they cast the same actors. I really enjoyed watching the dynamic between Vincent and the machine.

1. A Turing test is a test of a computer system- or more specifically of an artificial intelligence program - to see if it can demonstrate behavior and responses that would appear to be coming from an actual human being.

2. I believe Vincent performed a "scan" of Ava's brain like he did with his daughter. I think that he only used that scan as a template though.

3. It seemed to me that it was the entire consciousness of Mary, with all her memories intact up until the point that she was collected by her father. She seemed to recognize him as her father anyway.

4. Sorry, I don't remember.

5. I don't think enough detail was provided.

6. Not sure because we don't know what was being said. But based on the tone of the scene, it could either have been disciplinary or him taking one for the team. I kept waiting for something that referred back to it so we could understand the significance of the scene but I never saw it. Maybe someone else did?
