lang cah ster

I grew up in lancaster county, it always annoys me when i hear someone ina movie where their character is from lancaster pronouncing it lang cah ster...
we pronounce it lan cuh ster

there is no g... and it is not pronounced like the actor's name...

lan, or maybe lahn cuh ster...
how hard is that? it's a sure fire way for anyone from the area to KNOW you are not from around there.

just a pet peeve...

also, i am not amish, but i KNEW a LOT of amish folks...
they all pronounced it the same way...
