Inferior Sequel

I saw this first, the story looking interesting, but turned it off about 2/3 the way thru. By coincidence, it was on television a short time after I borrowed the DVD from the library. I think the new actress (who I like on "Switched At Birth") does okay. It just is that the story is not very good -- so much on the guy's gambling problem and the scam etc. Who cares about that? We care about her story.

The first movie, which I just saw, was much better because of the story. The actress is very good too (the lipstick is strange) but that's not the point really. It's a better story. This film is dominated by a silly scam. The first one is about Katie and her family.

From what I can tell, the third book (if they do make a film out of it) leaves even more to be desired. But, the first film/book shows the characters here can make a good movie.
