Movie better without the final scene? (SPOILERS!)

Would you have liked the movie better without the final scene? (the scene with the two men sitting in the tree) I would have preferred the open ending where the viewer can "choose" him/herself whether Ronnie gets shot or not.

Still, nice to see such a carefully made Dutch movie (I think Yorick van Wageningen played a great role as a believable bad guy, and many of the shots look great - including the Dutch landscape! ).

I think the last scene was necessary to bring in the Angolan's entire storyline. The final scene made everything make sense, like the reference to Friesland's original pagan religion.

Thanks for the reply!

(I thought that nobody else ever visited the board of this Dutch movie, but apparently I am wrong )
