Atrocious acting

that's all!

Your comment is ridiculous. Every single actor in this film is an accomplished actor with many years of experience. Perhaps your opinion is clouded by the race and ethnicity of the actors and not their talent.

I never said they were not accomplished actors and don't even imply that my comment has to do with their race/ethnicity, if that were the case, I wouldn't have watched this movie otherwise. The director did a horrible job directing the actors, it all felt forced and it looked like they were acting.

Mykie ITA. I know I"m late to this party but I'm commenting any way. Yes, the acting is atocious. I'm shocked. I watched this movie because the actors are so skilled and I've loved them in other things. They are wooden but I think part of the problem may be the direction. It's very slow paced. The dialogue is not the best either. I want to like this movie but I just can't.

SPOILERS of you have not seen the movie

I watched this movie this morning and I could not agree more.
The acting was horrible.
Also the set design -looked like they rented a house and furnished it with the dollar store (the picture frames for example...)

I kept watching hoping the lead actress would really let her hair down and become a human being with some life force/energy (and I have seen Garcelle act before so I KNOW the she can act). I thought she may have been told by the director to be robotic throughout the first half of the movie-due to divorce, pain, just going through the motions of life etc...but she was dull throughout and there was zero chemistry between any of the actors.

So the the handy man gets caught with hooker or a sex club wtf so we just wasted 3/4 of the movie on a story line that gets the kibosh they could have done this in 5 minutes and concentrated on another aspect. His wife was not supposed to love him but dd everything to hold on to him but they have separate rooms cuz she has sex hangups with her own husband but sleeps around with other people WTF? His whole story line made no damn sense.

I also saw mixed facial expressions in the face of the DR in rapid succession-he'd look mad then happy--he was just plain confused, just like the audience--no one had any subtly.

I noticed the little girl gets top billing, did she even speak during the film?

(and another peeve I kept noticing that was not related to acting, was her home, it looked like no one lived there. I get that she is a clean freak but even orderly & clean people's homes look like someone lives there. And why were all the furnishings so cheap looking? A banker and a teacher probably could afford to shop somewhere other than the dollar store. The house was so empty like no one was permanently resided there -like no one was home, similar to her her character.)

Was this a student film?

I can't hear you over the volume of my hair.
