Composer WAS Zbigniew Preisner ... (UPDATE)
... according to the press release.
Zbigniew Preisner composed the stunning 'Lacrimosa', that was used in The Tree of Life.
UPDATE - Now it seems to be Hanan Townshend instead.

4 days behind and naturally no acknowledgement:

They fail to mention that Preisner composed the music for the Malick produced The Beautiful Country, which sounds great on paper but I haven't seen it yet. 'produced by Malick' doesn't necessarily a good film make, as proved by Amazing Grace, but there are more reasons to have high hopes for this film.
Preisner was also the composer for Kieslowski, who is in my top 3 favorites along with Malick. So it's wonderful to see great minds overlapping.
shareAnd 'Lacrimosa' in TTOL is from Preisner's album REQUIEM FOR MY FRIEND - the friend in question being Kieslowski. But I'm sure you already knew that ;)
