I'm french too and I liked this movie. So did a lot of people. And 3 841 269 persons saw it in the world (well... according to wikipedia at least), which is honorable.

Ah and :

Développe au moins des arguments si tu veux être crédible. Parce que là, c'est juste le degré zéro de la critique, mon brave.

The 1946 version is just about perfect imo. This one had high production value but there was no love story at all. It seemed to want to disregard the fact he was actually a bad person when he was human and justify what he did. Not only that but Belle spends the whole movie fighting with him and then seeing he was a good husband to someone else and therefore is worth loving.

It was ok but not great. I'm sure the Disney version will be better, but I doubt he will be that great. They cast Emma Watson as Belle so they obviously aren't trying to hard to begin with.

Lemme guess: Americanized "entertainment" junkie, high on superhero movies and car chases, watches a traditional fairytale and goes "OMG worst movie EVER!!!!". If this was your worst movie ever, I'd fear to find out what your "best" movies ever are...
