Flaw

Don't you think a tech wizard will have his shop full of motion detectors, surveillance cameras, etc.?

SPOILER ALERT!
Another flaw: The train contents is identified with the number UN 3475 which is a mixture of ethanol and gasoline, but in the film it was identified as Methyl isocyanate, which, by the way, would kill Hollis in minutes.

I think the biggest flaw is in the idea that if the AI lets all humans die, there would be nobody to maintain the power grid.

Movies are IQ tests. The IMDB boards are each person's opportunity to broadcast their score.

Picking apart the train continuity is pedantic. They weren't in Pittsburgh, heck they weren't in America given the Canadian Railroad train earlier(not the death train)

Lots of that little stuff in there.

I 1111100% agree that the VG studio would have WAY more security than that. Especially given the secret sensitive data the guy had on his HD.

I'd guess somethings would continue to have power, or indefinite backup power for global catastrophes. Maintaining the "grid" wouldn't be overlooked.

Worst flaw is that these idiots thought that a hospital computer monitoring vital signs would be in ANY way online whatsoever.

reply

If that was deadly gas on the train, how did Max survive being overrun by the toxic cloud when the train derailed? No, he didn't outrun the cloud. Hint.

It was just sloppy writing.
