The F word

Such an overuse of it in this film. It felt so lazily written into the script at any available opportunity when a character was annoyed or talking about the alien. It's like the scriptwriters felt they needed to make it that extra bit more adult so needlessly threw the F word into it. Not even like they went with other swear words.

Didn't matter which character either. It just made everyone come across more unlikeable and less the professionals leading a colonisation trip that they were supposed to be. Worst example was when they were bringing that sick guy into the med bay. The pilot starts swearing her mouth off at her husband in a panic. Then the medic lady starts being a potty mouth about being locked in to the pilot. If the aim was to make me pleased that these characters died horribly then it definitely achieved it.

Reminded me of old slasher movies where you were rooting for the antagonist to take out the annoying fodder in creative, interesting ways. It never crossed my mind that any of the characters were supposed to be likeable in this. A glorified slasher with gorgeous cinematography in a beautiful setting.
