Covenant first hour is repeat of Prometheus

As i was watching the Alien Covenant i noticed the first one hour of the movie is nothing but of the same event happened Prometheus. A ship arrives, crew members set out to explore the planet, one gets contacted with black stuff, taken to the ship ......etc. All same stuff happened in previous movie. The whole film started only when David arrives. Scott totally wasted a good opportunity.
