shareWhat he did to Shaw was far worse. Shaw had repaired David, and he returned the favour by performing horrible experiments on her, all off-camera, which makes it that much more disturbing. Eventually she died. She was the 'Ripley' of Prometheus and it was a poor way to go out.
If rumors of the next Alien movie taking place between Prometheus and Alien Covenant are true, then why wasn't that one just done first?

shareThat's why I think Covenant is particularly disappointing because it seems like it just kills off a bunch of people (engineers, Shaw) and decides to answer almost nothing from Prometheus. Shaw was supposed to be our Ripley here and we were supposed to find out about life (human and alien) and why it was scheduled for destruction from her.

I wasn't pleased with Shaw getting taken out of the storyline. I was ULTRA PISSED when the Engineer civilization was wiped out. Ridley Scott has weaseled out of giving us answers, and I if I wasn't a diehard, I would've walked outta that Goddamned movie. The overuse of CGI is unforgivable. Either build your monsters, or don't make a fucking monster movie.

I TOTALLY agree with your complete disappointment​ that RIDLEY SCOTT has absolutely BUTCHERED the mythos about the engineers and Shaw's storyline and her quest for man's greatest mystery to be answered! Instead, RIDLEY SCOTT cheapens this new A.C. so, so bad that it makes ALIEN 3 look like "gone with the wind"....... SAD!!!!!!
shareI wonder if she even woke up again after he put her in cryo. my guess is not. David will have just experimented on her while she slept until she died in her sleep or he just terminated her as she was in cryo (like Hal does in 2001). that is a disturbing thought
shareWell I think Shaw had repaired David after they arrived at this planet and maybe he woke her up on the Juggernaut before they arrived, not sure. I just remember the excellent Facebook promo for ACV and felt it should have been in the movie, it was excellent!
shareNope, he clearly says he puts her to sleep and then he was alone again on the way to the planet. He took this time to learn everything about them. He may have woken shaw up after they arrived, but she definitely repaired him before the arrived.
shareyes it shouldve been in the movie. i read it was for test screenings. maybe Ridley thought itd be more shocking to just see Shaw as a dead body?
I don't know what david did to Shaw, but what a way to repay her for what she did for him.
As far as the next movie being between Prometheus and AC, that is very perplexing, and sure to be a very disturbing movie with David wrecking havoc on everyone- engineers and Shaw and then doing all of his experiments.
