Seeing how the movie is just under six months away, the trailer should be released this week, a teaser that is.
I think even waiting until Christmas would be waiting too long, as that would leave five months until release.
I'd say a teaser NOW, trailer 1 in early February, and a final trailer in late March.

It's very likely they put it next day after Rogue One release, because they probably will put it there as premier.
