Nothing really christmas about it

A career minded theater director breaks her love interest's heart twice. The second time by leaving for a job in New York after getting involved in a relationship with him only a few weeks before leaving. BTW, she doesn't even bother to tell him about the job until just before leaving. She could have told him early on that there was a possibility she might leave since she said she hadn't really made up her mind yet but she didn't. Instead she kept it to herself, he fell in love with her, then she broke his heart. Not to worry though because he's going to leave behind his family and follow her so she can eventually break his heart a third time sometime in the future. Sorry but I just found it hard to sympathize with her.
