where's Conan?

I can't believe Conan has not been on this show yet. I'm not sure if they like each other. After Conan's feud with NBC Jerry took NBCs side and I don't think he's been on Conan's show since. But I still hope to see Conan on CICGC coz he's my favorite late night host and now that Letterman retired he's the host who's been on TV the longest. It'd be ridiculous if he was not invited to do this show.

I have wondered the same thing for while now. I believe the streaming company Crackle that the show is on, is a close partner with NBC. Maybe that has something to do with it.

OTOH Julia Louis Dreyfus was only recently on the show, and IMO was far and away the best episode.

I am huge fan of both Seinfeld and Conan. I highly doubt their is any hate towards one another.

He had Jay Leno on his show.

While Leno has lots of haters, he has LOTS of loyal friends in the comedy and car celeb circles. Leno is seen as a legend in the eyes of certain old school standup comics, and some like Seinfeld also seems to have an allegiance to him because of the guest connection I think going way back.

In some older interview I recently read, Seinfeld gave a roundabout reason why he supported Leno, while not actually saying he supported Leno's side....where he kept on saying something was stupid, while not saying exactly what was stupid. Was like a confusing bit. LOL.

Leno is polarizing. Howards stern apparently really hates Leno, but Seinfeld likes Stern. Kimmel apparently hates Leno, but his best friend Adam Carolla is good buddies with Leno

But David Letterman was on the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He had a similar experience with NBC and Jay Leno. I'm crossing my fingers that maybe Conan will be on season 9. Probably won't but I can hope.

I can't see a listing for Jerry having done Conan's TBS show, but I doubt it's an intentional snub as Bill Maher defended Jay during the "Tonight Show Debacle", too, (even personally criticizing both Conan and Letterman), and he's been on "Conan" more than once. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry and Conan show up one of these days on each others' show.

I think Conan would do this show no problem. Jerry doesn't have to schmooze someone for an invite- on the contrary, I actually believe Jerry is so bored, that his thirst for fascinating discussion with anyone comedic would make a great show.

He admittedly (yes?) knew next to nothing about Trevor Noah but his act. He knew his act, that's it. Sure he probably was nudged because Noah's '15 was a hot one, yet he didn't do it as some big timey 1-1 exclusive.

Hell, I'd even love to see Andy Richter guest. That would be something.

I think - for what it's worth - that Jerry doesn't particularly likes (or dislikes) Conan for the following reasons :

1.

During the whole Leno-Conan drama, Seinfeld pretty much took Leno's side.

Even though he lauded Conan as a funny guy, he showed where his loyalty lies.

2.

The principle idea is that Jerry invites (stand up) comedians.

Conan never was a comedian : he is a writer who got his own talkshow (and is pretty funny imho), but he was never in the trenches, leading the "life of the standup comedian" that Jerry seems to like so much.

I know of course that Jerry has made exceptions where he invited non-comedians that he likes, but I guess Conan just doesn't figure very highly on that list (I don't think they were ever good friends or acquintances)
