Feels like a indulgence affair for a Comedian who has made his Millions!

Like Jerry Seinfeld.

But to me the series felt like an indulgence vehicle to show off his car collection(fantastic of course!) and his power in Hollywood to get the best comedians and others(Obama!) to share some time with him.

Perfect for a multi-millionaire with connections but very little to do with comedy itself.
No harm in that as he and Larry did give us Seinfeld which hasn't dated yet and still referenced all round.

Enjoy your money and life Jerry and rub it in our noses as well!

Are you aware that only a very small handful of the cars featured on the show belong to Jerry? The rare and unusual Porsche's usually belong to Jerry but nearly all of the other cars are on loan from private owners or museums.

What Vord said.

Facts mean little to someone with an agenda to push.

Sorry Guys. No agenda .No trolling.Nothing to be seen here.

Living in an online world has made some very paranoid about ...even opinions...which I think people are allowed to have just as you do.

To me Jerry Seinfeld has always been a bit over rated.Apart from Seinfeld, I cannot name any one of his projects which has stayed in my mind. I wonder whether its Larry David, the genius, since he has managed another classic with 'Curb your enthusiasm' after his Seinfeld.

I just feel the entire series of Comedians in cars, quite dull and pointless. Does he have any ideas after Seinfeld? Except for the disastrous 'Bee' movie he seems to to still talk about Seinfeld in every late show, interviews, etc. I love Seinfeld (though less keen on the first two seasons) for everything and it is a classic. But so are so many others !

I just think Seinfeld is an above average comedian who hit the jackpot in Larry's Seinfeld. If he has the money and the connections to produce a series for his indulgence so be it! No harm indeed.

Now that's just my opinion and don't get your panties in a twist!

I wish they would ditch the cars and just have successful comedians talking to each other about comedy. That's all I wanted.

I would also like for the successful comedian host to be likable. So, that would mean getting rid of Jerry too.

So yeah, get rid of Jerry and the cars and this show would be great.

I agree, other than his sitcom this guy really hasn't done much. And if you think back to the sitcom it succeeded b/c of the characters, not Jerry. Kramer, Elaine, George, George's dad (and mom), Newman, Patrick Warburton's character. Seinfeld doesn't even crack the top 5 best characters on his own show.

I'd say Larry David's mind was perhaps just as important, if not more, than all your mentioned factors. He showed he definitely has that magic with Curb.

I didn't know disliking a comedian was "pushing an agenda". Wow, you can sure tell it's an election year. 

Seinfeld has always been one of those comedians who studies the art of comedy and likes to talk about it, especially with other insightful comedians. Not all of his guests do that so well, but many do and those are the best episodes to me.

Hi Simon,
Here in Australia your post would come under the 'tall poppy syndrome' That is 'a perceived tendency to discredit or disparage those who have achieved notable wealth or prominence in public life.
I love the fact that the cars are rarely Jerry's and the easy going manner in which the show revels.
Perhaps the fact that Jerry does not need to ever work again places him well for this type of show.
He comes across as someone with whom I would love to have coffee.

I don't think disliking someone b/c they are arrogant and unfunny counts as "tall poppy syndrome".

Its something different.
Usually has guests I've never heard of and has some interesting vehicles

Its a trifle, but its a good one

Those aren't his cars... they say who they are on loan from.

Also, this was a project for himself but everyone loved it and then Acura jumped in to sponsor it. The originals of "season 1" didn't have a sponsor when they were first available, but they went back and added all the advertising to them.
