Lithuania

Hi,
Does anybody know why there's so much "Lithuanian" context in the movie? Maybe some of the screenwriters/staff are Lithuanian?
I'm living in Lithuania and it was fun to hear its name for the first few times, but later into the movie it got boring, like somebody is obsessed with using that word.
