Yes, it's worth finishing it.
This first series stands alone as a single story, complete, stunning and epic.
A second series would have been great, but it's a mini-series that stands alone.
Do many of the posters here get what it meant to have two legends, Lennie James AND Mark Strong, in two of the best roles of their careers on screen for this much time--alone and dueling in tight close up scenes with the camera lingering on their faces?
GOD!
Mark Strong was fantastic in the original British version. But he really soared in this version. Even more so. This Agnew was a little more interesting.
The only other role in which he came close in his very long British career was "Our Friends in the North" a British series of the '90s up there with about the 10 best ever made in Britain.
And Strong was one of the reasons.
I was hooked on this one from the first scene with the dueling Strong and James going at it.
The epic ending is worth the 10 hour wait....I cannot imagine making it half way and not seeing how it ended!
This was Shakespearean.
I had the great fortune to see Strong recently in the play, "A View From the Bridge." He was incredible.
