Rises. I will probably get screamed at for saying this but for me, it was better than Dark Knight Rises. The only thing I didn't liked very much was the fact that Bruce/Batman was way too buffed up. I mean did you see how he looked in the batsuit? He was like the Hulk or something like that..
Anyway it was awesome. Can't wait for part II and Michael Emerson!!

Glad I'm not the only one! Yeah, the fight scene in Returns was awesome. The Bane vs Batman one was not very good.
I'm ready for part 2. It just sucks that we have to wait another year or something.

For me it is. I'm a big Batman and Nolan fan but I just think that Rises was full of mistakes and a little predictable. It was way too rushed. Nolan should have waited one more year or two to make it.
I don't know if you'll share my opinion but you should give Returns a chance. Even though it's just an animated movie.

This put Rises to SHAME. Rises was 2hrs of boring nonsense with a dynamite conclusion i.e. last 40 mins (roughly). This was great all the way through. I can't wait for part 2. Really wished they'd been released at the same time.

i agree with OP. kinda had the same pumped up feeling dark knight had and rises lacked, you know...where it just keeps getting better and better :)
i was really unhappy with rises (6/10) but this is amazing (9/10)

shareDude, Rises was not very good. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hater. I'm a big Batman and Nolan fan and I'll be the first one to defend them if anybody is talking *beep* but Rises was a mess. It's by far Nolan's worst (I didn't think I would ever say this) film.

Great movie, and I gave it a 10/10. But I also gave Rises a 10/10.
I wouldn't really like to compare them since animated movies are made very differently to live action.
Also the lenght of the movies being so different does impact.

It is the best animated Batman movie ahead of Red Hood, Year one but certainly not better than Rises it was just on another level.
2nd fight between Mutant Leader vs Batman was 10x better than Bane vs Batman 2nd fight though.
The wait is so long man Emerson will be amazing Joker.
Nolan/Pfister/Zimmer should be studied in every Film school

Rises would have to try realy hard to be any worse. hope this one gives back the respect of batman. and have more then 15 min with BATMAN in it :p Rises had around 15 min of actual batman in the movie, and it was about 2 hours and 40 min long. so if translating that to this movie witch is arount 1 hour and 30 min long (with credits) doesn't need many minutes of batman in to beat rises :p
only thing about returns is the animation, it looks to square :p or how do you say it in english :p but looking forward to seeing it. wounder when part 2 is coming out :D
nonsense. All the batman movies, even this one, have roughly the same amount of Batman as Rises(give or take 2-3%)
Also seeing TDKReturns in motion makes you appreciate Nolan's trilogy even more. So many scenes here are reminiscent of something out of these movies,especially Rises. Pure Batman
the story of returns is actualy based on a 4 part comic from the 80s :p. maybe some scenes where based on the movie, I don't know yet. but the story in it self is not.
and no there were ALOT more batman in the first 2 :p this one hade about 15-20 minutes. the rest was bruce and a battlefield movie :p both me and my friend and my brother thought it felt more like a movie of call of duty or battlefield or something like that. and I have read several other comments that they felt the same. but again. that is my opinion. exept for the part of how much batman was in Rises. you hade a short run in the start, then you hade one pathetic fight and then more or less a call of duty movie for over an hour then the last fight with was also prety pathetic and non belivable. and that's it. (the thought of the fight being pathetic is my opinion and such. even my other brother who loved the movie thought the fighting was bad and not very belivable)
maybe 22 minutes if I am kind :P
